We welcomed the festival of lights – Diwali – enthusiastically on the 9th of November, 2015. A festival that epitomises calm, peace and knowledge, all of which are essential to create a favourable atmosphere for excellence and success, invited for novel celebrations. At Paper Plane, festivities are heaped with creativity and vibrancy that leave lasting impressions on our hard working team. Needless to say, the Diwali celebrations at Paper Plane stimulate the building team spirit via group participation, creating an atmosphere to foster healthy interaction and ensuring an enriching experience for our employees whilst coalescing the Indian culture into our business. The occasion culminated into an evening to remember with plenty of fun, games, gifts and dinner.

Keeping up with the Diwali tradition, our colleague, Ms. Yogita Patil, commenced the auspicious day with an elaborate Sanskaar Rangoli rendered at our entrance to greet everyone with warmth and love. The atmosphere was electrifying and while everyone was in a jovial mood, we, in the HR Team, rushed around in a frenzy to ensure that the arrangements for the evening were close to perfect! Donning traditional attires, our colleagues were dressed at their best, clicking away selfies and group photos (we present some of them to you, in private).

A small and somber Lakshmi Pooja preceded the fun-packed evening. The team, however, eagerly looked forward to the mini group games that were themed around the challenging ‘Minute to Win It’ series.

These games helped us achieve two main goals that align with the company culture – team building and sportsmanship. Not only did the teams endeavour to triumph the challenges but they also encouraged each other to put forth their best efforts in the tasks. In the broader day-to-day events, we observe a similar transition into the work culture. We wrapped the evening up with a short awards ceremony, followed by an elaborate dinner, and dessert delicacies. We received highly positive feedback for the event and look forward to celebrating forthcoming festivals with equal vigour in the New Year.
